Please read all information for schools, recreation departments or individuals to form teams and participate in the LAVA Instructional Volleyball League.  We look forward to adding some additional sites and teams to this year’s program.  Last spring we had over 50 teams participating and would love to add more.

Players are strongly encouraged to participate with their local recreation department or community ed program where available.  Players outside of those service areas can participate on a LAVA House Team.  Players interested in a LAVA House Team can call 483-1318 or use the registration form and they will be placed on a team.  Inquiries from players in areas that offered Instructional League last year will be referred to the appropriate site director.  The purpose of the LAVA House Teams is not to “take” players from local programs; it is to expand opportunities for players without a local program.

 

ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING AND COACHES CLINIC -  A PROGRAM ORGANIZER OR COACH(ES) FROM EACH PROGRAM MUST ATTEND!

Listed below are important items that all coaches and site directors must read.  These documents can be obtained on the LAVA website www.lcc.edu/lava or email mhardy@lcc.edu for copies.

 

1.  March 31 - Player and Coaches Clinic Info – info available soon

2.  Start-up Information– Required reading!

3.  Site Supervisor Duties – Hand out to Site Supervisors for match night

4.  Welcome Spectators   - For game nights to post or hand out

5.  Player, Coach, Parent Information - Please make copies and distribute

6.  Rules and Information – Hand out to coaches, players and parents

7.  Site Registration Form – Program Organizers - complete and return ASAP!

8.  Team Registration Form - Return by April 16 so schedules can be sent out in time for distribution at practices prior to the first match.

9.  LAVA House Team Registration Form -  For players without a local program.

10. Site Directions and maps-  available soon  Please read carefully and notify me of any additions or corrections.  We will also have links to mapquest.com, so please include the building address.
